The MEGATRON 1MW Battery Energy Storage System is a factory-direct, pre-certified containerized BESS designed for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale on-grid applications. As an AC coupled 1MW battery energy storage system, the MEG-1000 serves as a critical supporting technology for smart grid and renewable energy integration – providing ancillary services including frequency regulation, peak shaving, energy shifting, backup power, black start capability, and demand response. The MEG-1000 enhances the flexibility, economy, and safety of traditional power systems while significantly improving renewable energy access.

The MEG 1MW BESS utilizes Grade A 280Ah LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells in a string architecture topology – delivering better system availability and lower maintenance downtime compared to traditional centralized PCS designs.  The 5 PCS by 5 battery string configuration ensures optimal charging efficiency and minimizes circulating current – a common challenge in centralized BESS designs.  Each 20-foot containerized BESS ships with batteries pre-installed to UN 3536 international shipping standards, dramatically reducing on-site installation costs and commissioning time.  The system connects at 690V 3-phase AC, making it an ideal plug-and-play solution for AC coupled commercial and industrial renewable energy projects.

Each MEGATRON BESS system is built around high-voltage DC battery strings configured at 1,075.2V to 1,363.2V.  The LFP battery packs carry a 5,000 cycle warranty at 80% Depth of Discharge (DoD) at 0.5C and 25°C – delivering an industry-leading cycle life with high thermal stability and zero risk of thermal runaway.  The system is available in two configurations – 1MW/1.72MWh and 1.2MW/2.064MWh – both housed in a standard 20-foot GP container with IP65 protection and HVAC cooling for reliable operation in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +40°C.

Safety is engineered into every layer of the MEGATRON 1MW BESS.  The MEG-1000 features a three-level BMS with high-precision fault detection, passive balancing, SOC calibration, and automatic battery pack disconnection on thermal events. A GPC safety protection controller monitors all system signals – including PCS, BMS, HVAC, and fire suppression – to protect against charging/discharging overload and ensure maximum system reliability.  The integrated NOVEC 1230 fire suppression system provides protection at every battery pack unit, high-voltage drawer, and control cabinet.

The system includes 24/7 cloud-based EMS monitoring supporting real-time data, dynamic charge/discharge strategy adjustment, and remote management via multiple mobile and PC devices.  All components are certified to UL 9540, UL 1973, IEC 62619, IEC 62109, IEC 62933, and UN 3536 international standards.
